Can you watch Hulu with Proton VPN?

Hulu was one of the first online video-on-demand services. It is split between Disney and NBC, with Disney owning the majority share. Its breakout show has been The Handmaid’s Tale.

How to watch Hulu with Proton VPN

Connect to any Plus server located in the United States. Plus servers are available for Plus, Unlimited, Duo, Family, and Visionary Plan subscribers.

On your Android TV, connecting to the United States will automatically connect you to a Plus server if you have a paid subscription.

Unfortunately, streaming Hulu on a mobile device (Android or iOS) outside the United States requires the Hulu mobile app, and to download the app, you need access to the US version of the App or Google Play store. You will also need to register a US credit card with your account.

Get a paid Proton VPN subscription

If you already have a VPN Plus, Proton Unlimited(new window), Duo, Family, or Visionary (legacy users only) account, you can skip to step 2.

If you already have a Free plan, upgrade your account by signing in and selecting the desired plan from your account Subscription page.

Step 2:

Install our VPN app

You need to download the Proton VPN app for your operating system. You can securely stream your favorite shows on Windows, macOS, and Linux devices. If you have already downloaded the Hulu app and made an account, you can also stream your favorite shows on the go with your Android or iOS devices. If you have an Android TV, you can join the beta testing program and install the app directly on your device. If you already have our app, you can skip to step 3.

If you already have a Hulu subscription, you can skip to step 5

To watch Hulu, you’ll need a Hulu subscription. You can also get Hulu with Live TV, which gives you live access to American television programming on over 50 channels.
