Stream MLB.TV securely with Proton VPN

MLB.TV provides streaming coverage of out-of-market games live or on demand, plus MLB Network and other included content. MLB+ is a separate subscription that provides access to the radio feed of games, plus MLB Network.

An MLB.TV blackout is a restriction that prevents a game from being shown live in a specific area because of exclusive broadcaster rights. Blacked-out games are typically added to MLB.TV on demand about 90 minutes after they've aired live. Blackouts are determined by your MLB.TV account and broadcaster agreements, not by your connection.

MLB.TV streams every out-of-market game live that isn't subject to a blackout or a national broadcast exclusivity. You can watch a blacked-out game through the broadcaster holding local rights, or wait for the replay to be added to MLB.TV after the game.

When you connect, your IP address changes to match the server location you select. If you're a subscriber in the US, connecting to a server near your home region helps ensure you see the content intended for your existing streaming accounts. Connecting to a distant server location may change what's available.

Proton VPN doesn't prevent Free users from streaming. However, some services limit access from IP addresses associated with free VPN servers — that's not something we can control. If reliable streaming is what you need, a paid Proton VPN plan gives you access to our Plus servers, which are built and optimized for it. Note that a Proton VPN subscription is separate from an MLB.TV subscription.

You can download Proton VPN on Windows, macOS, Linux, Chromebook, iPhone / iPad, Android, Android TV, and on streaming devices like Apple TV and Fire TV Stick. Proton VPN is designed to keep your streaming fast, private, and secure across all devices.
