How to watch Sat.1 with Proton VPN
Launched in 1984, Sat.1 was the first privately owned channel in Germany. An ad-supported free-to-air channel, it features a wide selection of shows, news, current affairs (including regional content from around Germany), sports, and movies.
Online, Sat.1 content is available for free (ad-supported) exclusively on the Joyn platform. Unlike other channels hosted on Joyn, you’ll need to sign up for a Joyn account to access Sat.1.

Troubleshooting Joyn streaming problems
If Joyn doesn’t work after following the above steps, try the following troubleshooting options:
- Restart the Proton VPN app and start a new VPN connection.
- If you are accessing Joyn via your browser, try clearing your browser cache(new window).
- Restart your device.
- Clear your DNS cache (Windows, Mac, or Linux).
