HRTi is the streaming platform of HRT (Hrvatska radiotelevizija), Croatia’s public broadcaster.
It offers live TV, on-demand, and catch-up viewing from HRT’s network.
HRTi is free, but you’ll need to create an account to access its content. While certain streams can only be watched from within Croatia, much of HRT’s content is accessible from anywhere in the world.

To use streaming services via Proton VPN, you’ll need a paid Proton VPN plan. If you already have a Proton VPN Free plan, you can upgrade your account by logging in and selecting Plus (or another paid plan) from your account dashboard.
If you don’t have a Proton VPN account, you can sign up for a Plus or Unlimited plan.
How to watch HRTi with Proton VPN from your browser
1. If you haven’t already, download and install Proton VPN for your device.
2. Sign in to Proton VPN and connect to any server located in Croatia.

How to watch HRTi with Proton VPN on a mobile device
HRTi apps are available for Android, iOS and iPadOS. Depending on what you want to watch, you may need to download the app before leaving Croatia.

Troubleshooting HRTi streaming problems
If HRTi doesn’t work after following the above steps, try the following troubleshooting options:
- Restart the Proton VPN app and start a new VPN connection.
- If you are accessing HRTi on your browser, try clearing your cache(new window).
- Restart your device.
- Clear your DNS cache (Windows, Mac, or Linux).
