With Ireland VPN servers, Proton VPN now offers 25 countries

The Proton VPN map continues to grow — this week we added VPN servers Ireland(new window) to the list of countries where we offer an IP address. Ireland was the sixth most popular country in our community poll, further proof that everyone loves the Irish. We now have servers available in 25 countries, including Ireland. We still have big plans ahead, though, so be sure to come back to this blog next week to find out where our newest servers will go.

The four new servers in Dublin are reserved for users with one of our paid plans:

IE #1 is available for Basic plans
IE #2-4 are available for Plus and Visionary plans

Why install VPN servers in Ireland?

These servers will allow our users to access some of their favorite streaming sites, such as ITV, Channel 4, Hulu(new window), and now, the Irish channel TG4. With these new VPN servers in Ireland, users with a paid account can browse the Internet with an Irish IP address, letting anyone follow their favorite Irish shows from anywhere in the world.

The servers installed in Dublin are also part of our special network that is dedicated to fast and safe file sharing.

You can only access these new servers if you have a paid account(new window). In addition to these servers, when you upgrade to Proton VPN Plus, you can get access to all of our premium features. This includes our Secure Core(new window) servers, which protect users’ identities from sophisticated network attacks.
