An illustration of eight new VPN servers in Colombia.

The Proton VPN network expands to Colombia

You can connect to our new servers in Colombia to browse the Internet with a Colombian IP address, access geo-blocked content, and protect your Internet traffic while you use public WiFi. These servers in Colombia are part of our drive to add more options for our users in South America. We have also added new servers in Chile(nova janela) and Peru(nova janela), which means Proton VPN has servers in 54 countries worldwide.

We installed eight new VPN servers in a data center in Bogota, Colombia.

They are available to users on one of our paid plans(nova janela). Each new server we install increases our capacity for new users and improves service for our current users.

CO#1-3 are available on our Basic plan.
CO#4-8 are available on our Plus and Visionary plans.

See where all Proton VPN servers are located(nova janela).

The benefits of Colombian VPN servers

If you connect to these new servers, you will now be able to browse the Internet as though you are located in Colombia, no matter where you are. This means you will be able to access geo-restricted content on Colombian websites.

For everyone in Colombia, you can use these servers to prevent Internet service providers and network administrators from monitoring your online activity.

Now that these eight servers are online, you can browse with a Colombian IP address and protect your Internet traffic with an extra layer of encryption.

More about Proton VPN and how to sign up

Proton VPN is a secure, community-supported VPN service. It was developed by the same team that created Proton Mail, the world’s largest encrypted email provider. We offer the only free VPN service that does not have data caps, bandwidth limits, privacy-invading ads, or log user activity.

Our security and privacy tools will always be free. This is a crucial part of our mission to bring online freedom to everyone.

All Proton VPN apps are open source(nova janela) and have undergone a thorough audit by the security firm SEC Consult(nova janela). We made our apps open source because it demonstrates our dedication to transparency. Anyone can review our apps’ code and ensure they do exactly what we claim they do. This transparency also enhances our apps’ security, as cybersecurity experts from all over the world can now scrutinize our code. This means potential vulnerabilities are quickly spotted and fixed. We do this so that you can be confident that our apps will keep your online browsing secure and private.

Joining is easy. Click the signup button below. Or if you already have an account and want to upgrade to access premium features, like secure streaming, click upgrade.
