We just reached an important milestone – with Finland, we now have VPN servers in 20 countries!

Thank you to all those who voted Finland to #7 in our Proton VPN server poll(new window). We’re nowhere near finished adding servers, so check back soon to see where in the world Proton VPN will go next.

The four new VPN servers in Finland(new window) are based in Helsinki are reserved for users with one of our paid plans:

FI #1 is available for Basic plans
FI #2-4 are available for Plus and Visionary plans

Why Finland?

For Finns traveling outside of Finland, these servers will allow you to maintain a virtual residence in Finland no matter where you find yourself. They will also allow anyone around the globe to access geo-restricted content on Finnish websites.

Finally, the servers installed in Helsinki have been configured for peer-to-peer (P2P) sharing. That means these servers are optimized for secure file sharing.

Remember, you can only access the new Finnish servers if you have a paid account(new window). By upgrading to Proton VPN Plus you can take advantage of all of our premium features, including our Plus servers, which have the fastest connection speed. Plus members will also have access to our Secure Core servers(new window), which protects users’ identities from even the most sophisticated network attacks. And everyone using Proton VPN can rest easy knowing there will never be any logs or records of your online activity.
