An illustration of eight new VPN servers in Peru.

Peru is the latest country to join the Proton VPN network

You can connect to our new servers in Peru to unblock content and protect your Internet traffic while you use public WiFi. The new servers in Peru, along with Colombia(new window) and Chile(new window), mean that Proton VPN now has servers in 54 countries. You can now browse the Internet with a Peruvian IP address and choose from more options to secure your browsing in South America.

We installed eight new VPN servers in a data center in Lima, Peru.

They are available to users on one of our paid plans(new window). Each new server we install increases our capacity for new users and improves service for our current users.

PE#1-3 are available on our Basic plan.
PE#4-8 are available on our Plus and Visionary plans.

The benefits of Peruvian VPN servers

These servers will allow Peruvians traveling abroad to maintain a virtual residence in Peru, no matter where they are. They will also allow anyone around the globe to access geo-restricted content on Peruvian websites.

If you are currently located in Peru, using one of our Peruvian VPN servers will help protect your online activity from surveillance by Internet service providers and network administrators.

These eight new Peruvian servers let you browse the Internet with a Peruvian IP address and protect your Internet traffic with an extra layer of encryption.

More about Proton VPN and how to sign up

Proton VPN is a secure, community-supported VPN service. It was developed by the same team that created Proton Mail, the world’s largest encrypted email provider(new window). We offer the only free VPN service that does not have data caps, bandwidth limits, privacy-invading ads, or log user activity.

Our security and privacy tools will always be free. This is a crucial part of our mission to bring online freedom to everyone.

All Proton VPN apps are open source(new window) and have undergone a thorough audit by the security firm SEC Consult(new window). We made our apps open source because it demonstrates our dedication to transparency. Anyone can review our apps’ code and ensure they do exactly what we claim they do. This transparency also enhances our apps’ security, as cybersecurity experts from all over the world can now scrutinize our code. This means potential vulnerabilities are quickly spotted and fixed. We do this so that you can be confident that our apps will keep your online browsing secure and private.

Joining is easy. Click the signup button below. Or if you already have an account and want to upgrade to access premium features, like Secure Core, click upgrade.
