How to watch Amazon Prime Video with Proton VPN
To watch the Australian, Canadian, French, German, Indian, Italian, Swiss, UK, Japanese, and US versions of Amazon Prime Video, you will need to connect to any Plus server located in your desired country (e.g., to watch the German version of Amazon Prime Video, you need to connect to a Plus server in Germany). As noted above you will also need an Amazon Prime account registered to an address in that country.
Plus servers can be found in the Plus servers list on our apps.
On your Android TV (app currently in beta testing), connecting to any of these countries will automatically connect you to a Plus server if you have the right subscription.
Plus servers are available for Plus and Visionary Plan subscribers. For the fastest and most reliable connection, please connect to the server that is closest to your current location. To find the nearest servers to you, check the full list of our servers.

Get a VPN Plus or Proton Unlimited subscription
If you already have a VPN Plus, Proton Unlimited, or Visionary (legacy users only) account, you can skip to step 2.

Buy a Prime Video subscription
If you already have an Amazon Prime or a Prime Video subscription, you can skip to step 4.
To have access to all the shows on Prime Video with our VPN, you’ll need either a valid Amazon Prime or Prime Video subscription. Connect to a Plus server in any of the countries listed above, log in to Prime Video, then kick back and relax.
If you experience issues watching Prime Video, please try the following:
- Restart the Proton VPN app and start a new VPN connection
- Clear your browser cache
- Use a different browser
- Restart your device
- Clear your DNS cache

I am not able to watch amazon prime UK, even when I’m in the UK and choose a UK server and I have a UK amazon account.
I can not watch Netflix either, you get an error message stating that you are using some kind of proxy.
