How to configure Fleet MDM to use Proton VPN
You can deploy Proton VPN directly to managed macOS devices using the Fleet Device Management (FleetDM) platform. This allows you to install, configure, and manage Proton VPN across your organization without requiring manual setup by your users.
Setup and usage guide
To get started, you’ll need:
- Fleet administrator access with permissions to manage apps
- A Proton VPN for Business or Proton Business Suite plan
- Enrolled devices running macOS 10.12 (Sierra) or later
Deploy Proton VPN with Fleet
Proton VPN is available as a self-service app for macOS in Fleet, making it easy to install on managed devices.
- Go to the macOS menu bar → Fleet Desktop → My device.
- Select the Self-service tab. Select the ProtonVPN app, then click Install.

Configure your deployment settings
With the Fleet framework, you can:
- Automatically install and reinstall Proton VPN on enrolled devices
- Ensure consistent deployment across your organization
