israel vpn servers

We installed our first new servers of 2019 in Israel!

Israel is the 31st country to join the Proton VPN network. These servers should help improve latency for Proton VPN users in North Africa and the Middle East.

It is important that our users have a secure and private connection to the Internet no matter where they go, so we will continue to add new servers until we have filled in the map. We have now introduced VPN servers in Israel(new window).

These VPN servers will be housed in Tel Aviv and are reserved for users with one of our paid plans:

IL#1 is available on our Basic plan
IL#2-4 are available on our Plus and Visionary plans

Why install servers in Israel?

Several Israeli TV stations, like Makan 33(new window), do not allow you to stream their shows unless you visit their sites with an Israeli IP address. With these new servers, all our users on paid plans will be able to browse the Internet with an IP address from Israel and keep up with their favorite Israeli shows. With our new Israel servers, you can stream online from Kan 11(new window), Keshet 12(new window), and Reshet 13(new window).

Our servers in Israel have been reserved for our users with paid plans. Members with a Proton VPN Plus or Visionary plan will have exclusive access to servers IL#2-4 as well as access to our Secure Core architecture(new window). By using our Secure Core feature, users route their Internet traffic through multiple servers, including hardened servers that are controlled and owned by Proton VPN. Secure Core servers offer our users an extra layer of protection from even the most advanced network attacks.
