ProtonVPN

With our new Estonia VPN servers(新しいウィンドウ), Proton VPN now offers access to private Internet via 34 countries. These servers are another secure and private option for our users in the Baltic and Eastern Europe.

It is becoming more critical for you to secure your personal data, as data breaches(新しいウィンドウ) and surveillance become increasingly common. One easy step you can take is to connect to a VPN when you browse the Internet. A VPN also gives you better security while connected to public WiFi. By connecting to a VPN, you are protecting your online activity with an encrypted tunnel. Each new server we install increases our capacity for new users and improves service for our current users.

We installed our eight new VPN servers in a data center in Tallinn. They are available to users on one of our paid plans(新しいウィンドウ).

EE#1-3 are available on our Basic plan
EE#4-8 are available on our Plus and Visionary plans

Why servers in Estonia are useful

According to the 2017 Freedom on the Net(新しいウィンドウ) report, Estonia “has become a model for free and open Internet access” and “Estonians are very active on the Internet and issues of security, anonymity, privacy and citizens’ rights on the Internet are widely debated.” Bravo Estonia. The Estonian government even has a portal(新しいウィンドウ) that allows its citizens to see the personal data that public authorities have access to. These VPN servers will provide Estonians a way to access their local content while giving them the means to protect all their sensitive online data.

Proton VPN users who have one of our Plus or Visionary Plans can further protect themselves by activating our Secure Core feature. With Secure Core, we route your traffic through hardened servers that are controlled and owned by Proton VPN before it is forwarded to an exit server in the country of your choice. By routing your Internet traffic through multiple servers, Proton VPN offers your online activity an extra layer of protection against advanced network attacks. Plus and Visionary users also have exclusive access to servers EE4-8.
