Belgium is famous for chocolate, beer, diamonds — and now VPN servers!

Including Belgium, Proton VPN can now provide IP addresses in 28 countries. This expansion of our network is a crucial part of our mission to deliver the most secure and fastest VPN service to as many people as possible.

The four new VPN servers will be housed in Brussels and are reserved for users with one of our paid plans:

?? BE #1 is available for Basic plans
?? BE #2-4 are available for Plus and Visionary plans

Why install servers in Belgium?

Belgium has taken cybersecurity and privacy very seriously. At www.safeonweb.be, users have a variety of resources at their fingertips, from reporting online fraud(new window), to how to teach children about data privacy(new window), to a “digital health test(new window)”. We at Proton VPN salute these efforts and hope Belgians will heed the advice of their own Authority for Data Protection(new window) and use a VPN to secure their Internet connection!

Also, now that these servers are online, Belgians with a paid account can browse the Internet with a Belgian IP address. This means that no matter where in the world they are, Belgians can avoid geo-blocking and access their favorite websites.

Only users with paid accounts will have access to our Belgian servers. Proton VPN Plus or Visionary users will have exclusive access to servers BE#2-4 as well as access to our Secure Core(new window) feature. Our Secure Core architecture routes your online traffic through hardened servers that have been placed in privacy-friendly countries before they are routed through another Proton VPN server, meaning your data will stay safe even in the event of an advanced network attack.
